LOTR = vomit

Maybe that's a little harsh. I absolutely loved the first two hours of the film. I hated the last hour. I feel quite sick right now, and have been feeling like this for the last two hours. (The movie finished about 45 minutes ago.)

The camerawork in those fight scenes made me ill. I feel the same way that I did after seeing The Perfect Storm. Although I was a LOT worse after Storm. The trouble is that I suffer from motion sickness, and those sort of shots make me feel terrible. Strobe lights also make me feel rotten, which is why I hated Alien 4.

My friends are planning to see LOTR a week from now. I don't think I'll go. I'm not in a rush to see it again. Perhaps I was sitting too close to the screen, perhaps the chocolate I had contributed to my ill feeling. But I'm not going to risk it. It's a good film but the camerawork spoiled it for me.

Perhaps I would do better to read the books instead.
