Just back from the doctor. He said he doesn't know what it is, but it's definitely viral. He took my temperature and said I have a borderline fever. He also said it's strange that I've had a fever for this long - not consistent with a flu. He thinks it might clear up in a day or two, but he also said the symptoms are consistent with glandular fever, so I went across the hall to the pathology lab for a blood test. My right arm is kinda weak at the moment. Going to avoid doing too much typing today. :P But the doctor's advice was basically keep up what I've been doing: paracetamol, fluids and rest. Family's just about to leave for the coast soon. Plenty of quiet time for me ahead. If it does turn out to be glandular fever, the doc will call me in a day or two to let me know. He said there's not much that can be done if that's the case. I could be sick for three weeks with it. I have a med certificate from Friday up until tomorrow, and if I'm still feeling unwell by Thursday he said to drop in again.
